S.A.N.T.E.E. Farm is a publicly supported educational organization. It was founded in 2000 to demonstrate the benefits of environmentally responsible small scale farming and gardening practices.

Our name, S.A.N.T.E.E., is an acronym meaning the Sustainable Agricultural Network for Training and Environmental Education. Our purpose is to address issues of critical importance to America's next generation of farmers and caretakers of the earth by providing public access to training, tools, land and educational materials - all shared in a learning environment that serves as a rich resource for students, teachers and policy makers on all levels.

Officially incorporated as a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization called Mother S.A.N.T.E.E. Inc., we currently farm 16.5 acres in the rolling Appalachian foothills of West Virginia's northern panhandle near Wheeling. S.A.N.T.E.E. Farm plays an active role on the Growers Advisory Council for West Virginia University's Organic Research Farm and is a member of the Mountain State Organic Growers and Buyers Association.

Our outreach services include a speakers' bureau, on-site consultation with backyard gardeners, and volunteer participation in the Master Gardener Program.
